Our Executive Chairs
Rachel has been Chair of RMTC and RTSA since 2014 and in 2020, just prior to the pandemic Rachel joined forces with Geoff to create our Exec Chairs, bringing a collaborative partnership to the helm of the companies. With a strong and forward thinking committee behind them, Rachel and Geoff strive to ensure that the company produces excellent theatre whilst keeping true to the vision of the business. With joint extensive skills in people/project management, leadership and a history as performers, they bring a rounded approach to the management of the production team.
Our Director and Choreographer
Dee, a professional Director and Choreographer has been involved in musical theatre since being a child, and as her profession, for over 40 years. During the day, Dee runs two businesses - “Bennie-fit Performance” and “DEE-Stress Holistic and Sports Therapy”. Dee has Directed and Choreographed over 150 productions both on stage and for TV. Dee regularly runs workshops for NODA both for youth and at the North East Regional Conference. Dee says her dad taught her to “live everyday as if it was her last”. Consequently, her goal in life is simply to make a difference in people’s lives - so she encourages and nurtures performers to “Believe in yourself”. Dee currently directs 5 shows a year in Yorkshire and is looking forward to working on her next projects. In her “spare” time she enjoys looking after her grandchildren and her dogs Colin and Albert.
Our Musical Director
Matt is a versatile and professional musician working across South Yorkshire and further afield. After graduating in music from Sheffield University he started working as a freelance musician and has had the pleasure of working with many of the local amateur dramatics groups across Yorkshire. In addition he teaches at several performing arts and dance schools (music, not dance) and provides music services such as working as an accompanist, orchestrator and copyist. Matt has many hobbies most of which are fitness related. He loves frequenting the gym and often visits twice a day. He is also a great cook and loves nothing more than having his friends around for a feast.
